Scrapbook: Contemporary log stoves

I have started a set of pages that I am going to label up as “Scrapbook”.  These are pages with photos and links to websites where I have been interested in their products.  I will update them as I come across new products, but thought these might be useful for others.

So I am going to start with contemporary log stoves – nothing rustic about these – something clean and stylish for the main living space.  There will be underfloor heating, so this is really just to top up the temperature a bit on the colder days.

We are doing it seems some similar things with our home, our house is listed however so we have a lot of restrictions but the stove we went for was the westfire series 2 without the pedestal for a room which is 21ft by 14ft(if i remember correctly) and even with the draughty windows it heats it up great.

Out of your stoves i really like the firebelly stoves and they do a great cooker and even better they are manufactured in halifax/huddersfield(main office based in Slaithwaite).

I’m ready as much of your blog as i can, it is a brilliant blog and is kinda of inspiring me to do my own about our works although in comparison they seem feeble up to what you are doing! 🙂

    Thanks, Aaron.

We have just installed a Firebelly FB1 and are really pleased with it.

We are in the process of installing a Spartherm fire box in the lounge. We are missing a part at the moment, but it is due for delivery on Monday. So fingers crossed, we should have this unit working too by the end of next week.

Looking at the original post, it is amaxing to think that it has been over a year since we started looking at log stoves!
